JODIAC
💭 FAQ
Q1.Is my Chinese zodiac really different from my birth year?
Yes, if you were born in January or early February — before that year's Lunar New Year. In those cases your zodiac animal belongs to the PREVIOUS Gregorian year. Jodiac handles this automatically.
Q2.Why three age numbers?
Korea uses three systems in parallel. Korean age = yearNow − yearBorn + 1. International age (만 나이) = what most countries call 'age'. Legal-year age (연 나이) = yearNow − yearBorn (no birthday adjustment).
Q3.How accurate is the lunar conversion?
Jodiac uses a 201-year lookup table published by multiple open-source projects, cross-validated with the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute public data. It is accurate to the day for 1900-01-31 through 2100-12-31.
Q4.Does this replace sajucomputation or fortune telling?
No. Jodiac is a calendar utility. For full four-pillar (四柱) saju readings, visit our sister tool saju.bal.pe.kr.
Q5.Is my data saved?
No data leaves your browser. All conversion happens locally in JavaScript.
